Sharat is a film director based in Mumbai, India.

Over the years, his work has spanned genres and narrative styles, anchored by a keen sense for the layers beneath the surface of characters and the stories they embody. He’s drawn to the power of visual storytelling combined with performance — pieces that move through different facets of emotion — alongside a sharp understanding of how narrative can deepen a brand or product’s story, and where the two interlink.

A one-year scholarship stint at York University, Toronto studying Film set his foundation, working across several short film projects in different capacities. Back in India, he went on to work closely with a range of advertising directors across the country, before directing his own work.

His work spans leading brands and agencies across India, recognised at the Kyoorius Awards, the EFFIEs, the ABBYs, and beyond — including being named to IMPACT magazine’s Top 10 Ad Filmmakers of 2026 for his work on Enable India, and winning Best Director at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival for his work on Unacademy.
